‘He Saved Lives’: Woman Praises Marine Who Helped Her Escape Shooting on Memorial Drive
A former Marine and a state trooper confronted the gunman as he fired more than 60 rounds and wounded two people, police said.
A former Marine legally carrying a gun helped Massachusetts State Police stop and apprehend Tyler Brown, who was shooting at cars on Memorial Drive in Cambridge on Monday.
Brown allegedly fired at passing cars before being shot multiple times by a Massachusetts State Trooper and the Marine who intervened.
A witness said the former Marine shielded her by pulling open her car door and creating a barricade while telling her to run to safety.
The Gun Owners Action League praised the Marine's actions and criticized the justice system for allowing Brown, previously convicted of shooting at police, to be free.
