After seven days of interruption of the year's trial, Julieta Makintach, one of the three judges responsible for deciding on the circumstances of Diego Maradona's death, was challenged on 27 May. She allegedly collaborated, unknown to all, in the preparation of a documentary on the behind the scenes of the case. The rest of the trial is at stake.
Thursday at 12pm (3pm GMT), a hearing at the San Isidro court (northern Buenos Aires) will have to decide whether the trial can resume, with a new judge replacing the challenged judge, or whether to restart from scratch with a new trio of magistrates, as requested by a majority of the parties.
