Are You Feeling Old Yet? Bugatti Celebrates the Veyron's 20th Birthday with a New One-Off Hypercar
- This coming week, Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S., Molsheim-based team will debut the one-off F.K.P. Hommage as a Programme Solitaire coachbuilt project with a show-car at the Rétromobile exhibition, Paris on January 29.
- To mark the Veyron's 20th anniversary, Bugatti honored Ferdinand Karl Piëch and revived Veyron facelift sketches drawn years ago by Frank Heyl.
- Technically, Bugatti built the F.K.P. Hommage on Chiron Super Sport components, featuring a 1,578 hp W16 engine, 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, 420 mm rotors with eight-piston calipers, and four exhaust pipes.
- The actual owner car remains unbuilt and is scheduled for delivery next year, with Bugatti set to begin on-road testing now that the car is revealed; development spans two years with one year complete and Programme Solitaire can build up to two cars per year.
- Inside, the Hommage uses peanut buttery brown leather paired with custom-woven Paris fabrics and bespoke trim, plus a 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon in a revolving gondola.
