Norway has joined the EU's listings of 20 May 2025 under the EU's restrictive measures in light of Russia's destabilizing activities, also known as the hybrid regime. The listings will be introduced into Norwegian law today, 10 July 2025.
Now the shipping company rejects espionage accusations – and casts doubt on whether Norwegian authorities have the right to exclude them from the Norwegian economic zone.
Russia's two largest fishing companies have been banned from fishing in Norwegian waters. Boats and trawlers are also banned from entering Norwegian ports. This is a measure to protect undersea infrastructure from Russian sabotage.
