Apple TV Renews 'Widow's Bay' for Season 2
On Thursday, Apple TV renewed the horror-comedy 'Widow's Bay' for a second season and signed series creator Katie Dippold to a multi-year overall deal.
Starring Emmy winner Matthew Rhys as Mayor Tom Loftis, the series follows a New England town mayor attempting to boost tourism despite residents' belief that the island is cursed.
The critically acclaimed show holds a 97% approval rating on Rottem Tomatoes, with Emmy-winning executive producer Hiro Murai directing five episodes of the first season.
Dippold's multi-year agreement covers new series development and first-look features, announced ahead of the June 17 Season 1 finale.
Teasing the second season, Dippold joked that upcoming episodes will focus on how "everything is great on the island and there's nothing to worry about.
