Apple releases iOS 26.5.1. See what's in the iPhone update
Today, Apple released a Software Update to address a bug preventing wired charging on Air, Pro, and Pro Max models when the battery is nearly drained.
Three weeks after Apple launched a Software Update featuring RCS and Apple Maps, this version arrives to focus exclusively on technical fixes.
Navigating to Settings, General, and Software Update allows users to begin the Download and Install. For Today, the time from requesting the Download to finishing the Install was 18 minutes.
The Software Update is available for All models released in 2019 and later, including the Air, Pro, and Pro Max series.
Despite WWDC occurring Next week, Apple continues refining the Software Update ahead of the fall launch. Another Software Update currently remains in beta testing.
