Kentucky AG joins lawsuit to defend Trump administration’s deportation efforts

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman says he supports the Trump administration’s efforts to deport Venezuelan migrants and has joined with his Republican counterparts to say so in court.

The Trump administration denounces Judge Boasberg's decision as an "unprecedented intrusion into the prerogatives of the executive power", accusing him, in particular, of having ordered, in vain, that the planes that had already taken off turn back.

On 15 March, a federal judge suspended evictions based on a 1798 law on "foreign enemies" for two weeks. While the Trump administration had appealed the suspension, a Washington Federal Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal.
