Seoul Court Extends Ex-Minister's Term in Martial Law Case

The appeals court said the original term was too lenient after finding Lee Sang-min helped carry out insurrection-related orders and gave false testimony.

South Korea's appeals court extended former Interior Minister Lee Sang-min's penalty to nine years in prison on charges including carrying out key insurrection-related duties, perjury and abuse of power.
