West Coast have earned three Rising Star nominations inside the first half of a season for the first time in the award’s history, with Josh Lindsay the latest Eagle to receive a nod.

Lindsay earns Rising Star nomination

From one eagle’s nest to another, Josh Lindsay was named this round’s AFL Rising Star. Lindsay played junior footy with Newtown & Chilwell Eagles and was being drafted at No 19 last year by West Coast Eagles. In keeping with the birds of prey theme, Lindsay was drafted from the Geelong Falcons where he was rewarded with Under 18 All Australian selection.
