Another bat tests positive for rabies

Grand Erie Public Health says a bat found in Brantford-Brant has tested positive for rabies. It’s the second confirmed rabid bat in the area this summer. Officials say the risk to the person involved was low because there was no direct contact. Residents are reminded to avoid wild animals and make sure pets’ rabies vaccinations are up to date.
