Today, the European Parliament awards the "European Order of Merit" for the first time in Strasbourg.
Angela Merkel also sees European states as obliged to intervene as mediators in the Ukraine war. She also personally supports military aid.
In an interview, the former German chancellor pointed out that Europe is not fully utilizing its diplomatic potential and stressed that Ukraine should be supported militarily.
Moscow must understand that it will have to negotiate.
