Why Angel Reese Was Traded From Sky to Dream
Reese has averaged 13.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in 10 games for Atlanta, which owns the Eastern Conference's best record, officials said.
On Tuesday, Angel Reese returned to Chicago for her first regular-season game against the Sky, leading the Atlanta Dream to an 82-75 victory.
Chicago traded Reese to the Atlanta Dream on April 6 in exchange for a 2027 first-round pick and a 2028 first-round selection to maximize her value while under contract.
Reese led Atlanta with 17 points and 17 rebounds, maintaining her status as the WNBA's leading rebounder with 11.7 per game.
Chicago Sky guard Skylar Diggins cited a "loser mentality" after the team's recent blowout loss to the Toronto Tempo, as consecutive defeats compound the roster's struggles.
The Atlanta Dream return home to play New York on Thursday, while the Chicago Sky travel to Indiana on the same day to continue their season.
