Anderson's Festival Speech Between Trump, Pope and Lou Reed

This year, the Vienna Festival has proclaimed itself the "Republic of Love." And so, naturally, love was the title of American performance artist Laurie Anderson's opening speech on Monday evening. At the sold-out ORF Radiokulturhaus, the 77-year-old addressed the "State of Love." A charming, poetic and musical evening, at the end of which Lou Reed, Anderson's husband who died in 2013, also played a role.
