Anaheim Ducks to retire number of longtime captain Ryan Getzlaf on Jan. 30
Getzlaf, the Ducks’ all-time points leader, will join three franchise greats in the rafters after 17 seasons in Anaheim.

- During his 17-year NHL career in Anaheim, Getzlaf established himself as the franchise's all-time points leader with 1,019 points across 1,157 games while serving as captain for his final 12 seasons.
- The Regina, Saskatchewan native led the Ducks to their 2007 Stanley Cup title and earned five international gold medals, while holding the franchise record with 737 assists, 206 more than Teemu Selanne.
- Owners Henry and Susan Samueli praised Getzlaf's "leadership, championship DNA and community contributions," with his jersey joining those of Selanne, Paul Kariya, and Scott Niedermayer at Honda Center.
