The oldest religious building in Warsaw's Praga district has burned down. It concerns the wooden belfry of the Corpus Christi Church in Kamionek. A 64-year-old man has been detained in connection with the case. Local residents were alarmed by the thick smoke rising from the parish. On Tuesday evening, one of the oldest monuments in Warsaw's Kamionek district burned down, the capital's monument conservator reported. It was the belfry at the Church of Our Lady of Victory, located at the Kamionek Cemetery. Only the steel frame and two bells survived the fire.

In Kamionek in Warsaw, a historic wooden two-story belfry at the Co-Cathedral of Our Lady of the Victorious burned down. "It is one of the oldest preserved monuments in the district. The fire broke out at around 5:15 p.m. and quickly spread to the entire building. The fire extinguishing operation lasted for over two hours, followed by securing the area.
