An event to demand more places in CPE and better conditions for its educators

At the dawn of a three-day labour strike in CPE, a demonstration took place on Saturday morning in Montreal.

Many thousands of Quebec families are still waiting for a daycare place and have expressed their dissatisfaction on Saturday by protesting in Montreal.

A few hundred people demonstrated on Saturday to call for more child care spaces and to express their support for the early childhood centre (ECC) educators. With no agreement yet reached, negotiations between the CPE workers unionized at the CSN and the government were still going on at the end of the week.
