The forming parties in Amsterdam, PRO and D66, are allowing the city's residents to participate in discussions and decision-making regarding difficult issues during the formation process. This was reported by PRO Amsterdam, formerly the coalition party of GroenLinks and the PvdA, on its own website. The residents will be selected by lottery.
PRO and D66 want to involve Amsterdammers in the negotiations for the new coalition agreement. 2,000 randomly selected residents will soon receive a letter inviting them to sign up; 75 of them will ultimately be allowed to participate in the discussions.
