Amit Shah Inaugurates Anti-Terrorism Conference 2025, Unveils NIA Tools
- On Friday , Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, inaugurated the two-day Anti-Terrorism Conference-2025 organised by the National Investigation Agency , attended by senior ministers and top security officials including Nityanand Rai, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Union Home Secretary, and the Director General of NIA.
- Facing changing tech threats, Amit Shah urged police and Central agencies to analyse all terrorist incidents in the past year, citing the April 22 terror attack at the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam as a national shock.
- The NIA released an updated crime manual, Organised Crime Network and Lost/Looted and Recovered Weapon databases, and asked Directors-General of Police to form teams to study them for investigations.
- All Directors-General of Police from the States should implement the ATS structure as soon as possible, and states must use the Organised Crime Network Database under NIA, CBI, and IB guidance as a core asset of the zero-terror policy.
- When we establish a common ATS structure across the entire country, it provides us with an opportunity for uniform preparation at every level, Shah said, warning organised-crime groups link with terrorists abroad using ransom proceeds.
