Ambulance driver indicted in dragging death of John Lucas in Elkview
Alyssa Middleton, 19, has been indicted with felony offenses in the dragging death of John Curtis Lucas on April 16, 2026 in Elkview, West Virginia. Middleton was the driver of the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority vehicle. Survelliance video indicates the ambulance struck and dragged Lucas nearly two miles.
