Registration is open for the Rails to Recovery 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run, a fundraiser that will benefit Tennessee Valley Outreach Ministries during this year's Depot Days celebration.

A new, raised, permanent, roofed stage is taking shape next to the Depot Museum parking lot. The project, which is expected to cost around $90,000, is expected to be finished in time for Depot Days, which starts Aug. 27.
