- On Friday, Amazon announced Amazon Bazaar, a standalone low-cost shopping app for Asia, Africa and Latin America offering hundreds of thousands of affordable items on Android and iOS.
- Building on its earlier rollout, Amazon expanded its Temu- and Shein-style competitor from a US mobile storefront in about a dozen markets into the separate Amazon Haul app.
- Most products on Bazaar are priced under $10 and some as low as $2, shipments take around 2 weeks, returns are free within 15 days, and customers pay with Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
- Now rolling out to 14 markets, including Hong Kong and the Philippines, Amazon is offering new customers 50% off first delivery and plans to expand to more countries.
