- After losing the Eluru Assembly segment in 2024 by over 62,000 votes, he resigned from the YSR Congress Party in August 2024 and joined the Telugu Desam Party in February 2025.
- Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock, stating "it is heartbreaking that he passed away" at such a young age. TDP working president and IT Minister Nara Lokesh conveyed deepest condolences.
- Lokesh remarked that Srinivas tended to stay away from controversies and interacted cordially with everyone. His dedicated public service and contribution to the state will be remembered.
