The historian and activist reported that she was held for almost 10 hours in a police station in Matanzas. During the interrogation, an instructor from the Ministry of the Interior said that there are no political prisoners in the country. Lopez responded by shouting “Freedom for political prisoners” and denounced a strategy to prolong her home detention without trial.
Another 18th of civic protest ends with the arrest of its promoter, the Cuban intellectual Alina Bárbara López, and with surveillance and threats against other activists.
