Province warns of new measles exposure sites in southwestern Manitoba

The Manitoba government is warning the public about a series of measles exposures in southwestern Manitoba last week.

Measles since October 1,440; totals for previous decade, 101

Public health units across Ontario have reported over 1,440 cases of measles since the current outbreak first began in October, including three cases in Algoma District. The outbreak’s origins can be traced to a traveller’s exposure while in New Brunswick. To date, 76.4 percent of the cases have been in infants, children, and adolescents.
