Alberta Kay Lipp, age 87, of passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, after suffering a massive stroke three days prior. She was surrounded by her loving husband, Carl A. Lipp, and her dear niece and nephew during her final moments. Born on January 14, 1939, to the late Herbert and Aura (Barnd) Lindenman in Findlay, Alberta was a graduate of Liberty High School in Wood County. She married Carl on October 22, 1972, and he survives her. Alberta is also survived by her niece, Janis K. (Terry) Siefer, and nephew, Kevin Wetherholt; great-niece, Megan (Zach) Oberhauser; great-nephew, Garrett (Sam) Siefer; and great-great nephews, Wyatt and Liam. Along with her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by her sister Shirley (Dean) Wetherholt. Alberta dedicated over 25 years of her career to various banks in Bowling Green and the Business Office at Bowling Green State University.

A passionate traveler, she visited all 50 states and all provinces in Canada, as well as most Major League Baseball parks, often sharing stories of her adventures with family and friends. A cherished member of the First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green, Alberta’s vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. A public viewing will take place at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory on June 25, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on June 26, 2026, at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alberta’s honor may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Wood County Humane Society.
