AirCar starts move to San Rafael, California, and seeks FAA flight test certification

Summary
AirCar reports it has started the process of moving to San Rafael Airport, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. “At this location, we are establishing a new center for flight testing, certification processes, demo activities, and customer meetings,” said the company in a press announcement. “San Rafael Airport’s private airport structure provides a suitable environment for controlled flight testing. At the same time, we plan to position one of the world’s first flying car showrooms at this location. Through this new center, we are moving AirCar into a structure where investors, customers, and business partners will be able to visit, see the aircraft, follow the testing process, and experience the company as it expands into the global market. “In addition, we are starting the process for a Special Airworthiness Certificate to support our flight testing and development activities.
