The island of Ibiza has become the first national territory to eradicate all advertisements of offer of illegal tourist accommodation from the platform AirBnB. From last July until today, the Consell of Ibiza has managed that the platform eliminates a total of 2,831 unlicensed holiday rental ads representing a total of 14,532 accommodation places.
Eivissa becomes the first territory in all of Spain in which the Airbnb platform has removed from its website all ads of tourist rentals without license. “We do not want pirates in the accommodation, but neither taxis 'pirates' or illegal parties”, said the president balear, Marga Prohens, in the presentation of this data in a meeting of the Table against Intrusism. “We are pioneers in all Spain”, has added Prohens.Continue reading...
