On the 8th, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Naha Air Base suspended a 50-year-old sergeant from the 9th Air Wing Headquarters for five months for power harassment against multiple personnel. Between October 2023 and February 2024, the sergeant verbally abused and physically assaulted several personnel in another unit to which he belonged at the time, including hitting them in the back and head.
