Popular BBC Comedy Series with 'Great Cast' to End with Third and Final Series
Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey return as the BBC comedy ends after a third season that follows a 18-month time jump.
The BBC confirmed that the hit comedy Daddy Issues will return for a third and final season, with stars Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey reprising their roles for six episodes.
As BBC Three's biggest comedy launch since 2022, the series proved a major success; the second series became the channel's top scripted title for 2025, averaging 1.5 million views.
Set 18 months after the second series in Stockport, England, the upcoming episodes see Gemma promoted at her salon while her daughter, Sadie, now attends nursery.
Creator Danielle Ward writes that a romantic encounter escalates into complications, forcing Gemma to turn to Malcolm, who may finally be stepping up as the adult she needs.
"I'm thrilled we're getting to make a third and final series," said Ward. Wood added that Gemma and Malcolm are "one of the funniest and sweetest comedy double acts on TV.
