Ahold Delhaize has reached an agreement on the sale of 87 stores in Romania. The group is selling 82 stores from the Profi chain, which it acquired last year, and five from the Mega Image brand. Mega Image is the brand under which Ahold Delhaize has long sold groceries.
The owner of the Romanian food chain who bought 87 stores owned by Mega Image started with a "appropriate" store for a few years since the Revolution, thus achieving a strong expansion on the market, and not just on the food retail.
