Guidelines set for Brazilian First Lady's expenses

Brazil's Federal Attorney General's Office (AGU) issued an opinion Friday defining guidelines for the role of the president’s spouse, specifically addressing First Lady Rosângela da Silva (Janja) and her expenses.

The First Lady's round-trip airline tickets, who flew business class from Brasilia to the Italian capital, cost the taxpayer R$ 34.1 thousand. In addition to travel costs, the Executive provides Janja with a team that includes a press officer, photographers, social media specialists and a military officer as an assistant to orders.
