Agenda Lynchburg: Increasing real estate tax rate, eliminating vehicle tax and more on the table Monday, Tuesday

Lynchburg City Council is set to vote Monday on proposals to raise the real estate tax rate while lowering — and in many cases eliminating — the personal property tax on vehicles. Council to host tax rate hearing

Lynchburg residents will get a chance to comment in Council Chamber at a public hearing tonight on a proposal to raise the real estate tax rate to $1.025 per $100 of assessed value from the current rate of 89 cents.
