At the Hochkönig, a 27-year-old Czech was rescued by the mountain rescue on Wednesday, which had fallen on the descent from the Matrashaus and remained badly injured in a gully at about 2,300 meters above sea level. According to the rescue, the rescue required an abseiling of several hundred meters and an enormous personnel and technical effort. Already last weekend, a difficult, nocturnal rescue operation at the Hochkönig took place.
