Israeli army prepares for Hezbollah to join the fray after U.S. strikes Iran
IDF circles suggest that Hezbollah entering the fight after all could actually create an opportunity for Israel, based on an intelligence assessment that Hezbollah is in difficult shape domestically, and a hostile act is liable to further dramatically damage its standing
Col. (res.) Dr. Jacques Neriah, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Ramat Gan Academy and Senior Researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Foreign and Security Affairs, predicts that the Lebanese terrorist organization will take part in Iran's war against Israel and warns of the consequences.
Since the campaign against Iran began, the military has detected a heightened alertness in the organization, but at present this has not translated into actions indicating that the forces are preparing for combat. Intelligence officials believe that such a move would harm the already fragile domestic status of the organization.
