Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) has announced that the government will present an aggressive autumn budget to boost the economy. One of her priorities is to lower income tax. “We need to strengthen households,” she says.
The government is sticking to its forecast for the Swedish economy in 2025 – but is raising the GDP forecast for 2026. At the same time, Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) is calling for an expansionary budget. “The worst thing you can do in this situation is to be too conservative,” she says.
