- Technical voting issues and a challenge from Kobey Layne delayed the nomination process, pushing the official endorsement to technically Saturday morning.
- Klobuchar received 787.5 votes, capturing 65% of the 1,207 ballots cast, while Layne garnered 27% with 320.5 votes in her first-ever bid for office.
- Incumbent Attorney General Keith Ellison and Secretary of State Steve Simon also received DFL endorsements for re-election during unanimous votes at the Mayo Civic Center.
- Delegates will convene Saturday to endorse candidates for state auditor and the U.S. Senate, following Rep. Angie Craig's decision earlier this week to drop her bid for the DFL Senate endorsement.
