The Head of Diplomacy of the European Union (EU) today expressed concern about the growth in the EU bloc of Russian "blind to threats" parties after the victory of the German far-right in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas described the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party's victory in the Saxony-Anhalt state elections as "a show of strength for those who turn a blind eye" to alleged Russian-originated hybrid attack threats against Europe.
"At the same time, those who virtually turn a blind eye to this threat (hybrid attacks attributed to Russia) and say, 'This doesn't concern us, so we shouldn't do anything,' are gaining ground."
