Tom Mickel plays for the Hamburg SV for more than 13 years - longer than any other professional of the current team. After returning to the Bundesliga, the goalkeeper ends his career.

Hamburg (dpa/lno) – Hamburger SV's longest-serving football professional ends. Goalkeeper Tom Mickel declared his career end after the Bundesliga ascent of the HSV. Hamburger praised the 36-year-old as an "absolute identification figure" and "unconditional team player". Mickel had changed from Energie Cottbus to HSV in 2009.
