Affidavit: 8-year-old boy watched as father fatally shoot grandmother inside Derby home

Thirty-year-old Stephen Rogers has been charged with intentional and premeditated first-degree murder in the death of his mother-in-law, 49-year-old Sharmaine Burke, on July 30. The shooting occurred at Burke’s Derby home, in front of her 8-year-old grandson and Rogers’s son.
