- Players' payment preferences forced authorities to implement a fast-track conversion process, as Super Eagles players had threatened to boycott the quarter-final unless bonuses were paid immediately.
- At Marrakech Airport, Éric Chelle and his players touched down around 4.20 pm on Thursday, with the quarter-final set for 5:00 pm Nigerian time on January 10 at Stade Marrakech.
- With a semi-final place at stake, the quarter-final winner will face either hosts Morocco or Cameroon in the last four, with Nigeria's top attack facing Algeria's strong defence.
- Coming off a 4-0 win, the Super Eagles secured their quarter-final spot with a commanding victory over Mozambique at the Complexe Sportif de Fès, while Algeria advanced via Adil Boulbina’s late extra-time goal.
