Kenny Omega Keeps AEW Title At Redemption, Will Ospreay & Death Riders Come To Blows - Wrestling Inc.
Kenny Omega kept the AEW title after beating Kevin Knight, then struck Will Ospreay with a One-Winged Angel after Ospreay saved him from the Death Riders.
On July 26, 2026, Kenny Omega retained the AEW World Championship against TNT Champion Kevin Knight at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in the first-ever AEW Redemption main event.
The inaugural pay-per-view drew 5,899 fans to the Bell Centre, with Bailey winning a thrilling ladder match that showcased significant athletic competition among the event's competitors.
Following the main event, the Death Riders surrounded Omega, but Will Ospreay intervened to save the champion from the faction. The Young Bucks—Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson—attempted to assist, though Ospreay dismantled the attackers.
Despite the rescue and a handshake, Omega struck Ospreay without warning, hitting a One-Winged Angel to leave his rival incapacitated as the show concluded.
Officials confirmed Omega will defend the AEW World Championship against Ospreay at AEW All on August 30. Both rivals have declared their focus is solely on each other heading into the blockbuster showdown.
