Adobe Releases AI Assistant for Creative Tools, Says It Will Work with Anthropic's Claude
The assistant will learn user preferences, use pre-built Creative Skills and connect with Claude, Adobe said.
- On Wednesday, Adobe introduced Firefly AI Assistant, a tool capable of orchestrating multi-step workflows across Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop and Premiere from natural language prompts.
- Developed from the 'Project Moonlight' research prototype previewed at Adobe's MAX conference, the assistant represents the company's significant expansion into agentic AI, mirroring an industry shift toward AI-native systems.
- Under the hood, the assistant leverages roughly 100 tools and skills, learning user preferences over time while allowing users to step in to guide, refine, or adjust outputs at any point.
- Expanding its ecosystem, Adobe is working with Anthropic to bring Firefly capabilities to the Claude interface and has added Kling 3.0 and Kling 3.0 Omni to its roster of more than 30 video generation models.
- The platform will be available in public beta in the coming weeks, with details planned for the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas, where Adobe notes users will consume credits during generative operations.
