Administrator set to leave Bath County
WARM SPRINGS — Tuesday, Bath County administrator Mike Bender’s resignation request was approved by the Bath County Board of Supervisors on a 4-1 vote, with supervisor Roy Burns opposing.
Bender told The Recorder, “An opportunity presented itself that I can’t pass up, and it’s something I feel passionate about, and it’s the right time for me to transition to a different role.”
Bender’s last day as county administrator will be July 1.
