Adam Driver, Miles Teller Star in 'Paper Tiger' Official Trailer
- On Friday, James Gray's crime drama 'Paper Tiger' opens the 64th New York Film Festival. Distributor Neon confirmed an awards campaign for stars Miles Teller, Adam Driver, and Scarlett Johansson.
- Set in 1986 Queens, the 115-minute film follows brothers Gary, an ex-cop, and Irwin, an engineer, who become entangled in a Russian mafia scheme dumping oil near the Gowanus Canal, endangering their family.
- Produced on a $15 million budget with 24 executive producers, the drama reflects Gray's 'operatic' approach. He incorporates Hitchcockian elements into the family story, aiming to edge 'closer to spectacle' than his prior work.
- Following its festival circuit, Neon will release the film in select theaters on November 13, expanding nationwide on November 20. The project garnered a 10-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Festival.
