Christian Quadflieg became famous as a handsome teacher's nurse in “Tatort” with Nastassja Kinski — later the Germans loved him as a superhuman provincial doctor. His great passion, however, was literature.

The German actor Christian Quadflieg is dead. As the family announced on Wednesday, he died on Sunday in Hamburg after a long serious illness at the age of 78, “in the presence of his family.” Quadflieg appeared on television in around 200 roles, especially in the 1970s to 1990s.
