The 2025-2026 MASL season came to a close this past week with the finals of the Ron Newman Cup playoffs which saw the San Diego Sockers take down the Milwaukee Wave in three games. Three players with ties to Kansas City were on the winning Sockers' side. Former Sporting KC draft pick, Mitchell Cardenas and former Sporting KC and KC Comets goalkeeper, Boris Pardo were available for all three of the games, though Pardo didn't appear in the final. …
