Elba, AL (WDHN) - An inmate who escaped from the prison work camp in Elba early Thursday morning is back in custody. Sheriff Scott Byrd says Emmett Sigers was captured shortly before 4:00 p.m., around five miles from the work release facility. Authorities say Sigers escaped around 1:00 a.m. Thursday.
