There are more than 10,796 candidates for higher education than last year. The number was exceeded only during the pandemic when exceptional access rules were in place.

Candidates for the 2026 National Higher Education Access Competition recorded an increase of 21.8% over 2025, the highest number since 1996, except during the Covid-19 pandemic.
