Acaster reveals unseen Traitors moment with Jerry Hall
On Monday, comedian James Acaster revealed BBC producers cut a face-to-face confrontation from Celebrity Traitors. Acaster said former supermodel Jerry Hall, 70, cornered him about his secret identity during the 2026 series.
Viewers previously speculated about edited footage following The Sun's reporting that filming halted after Acaster became "distressed." The BBC issued a statement last Thursday emphasizing contestant safety and welfare throughout production.
Recounting the exchange to Alan Carr on his podcast, Acaster said Hall accused him of being a Traitor. Acaster replied, "I think it might be me as well, Jerry," prompting Hall to say, "You're very sneaky."
Acaster, 41, shocked viewers last week by admitting he was a Traitor during the penultimate episode. He explained that producers frequently removed his contributions to keep the voting process a surprise.
In another interview, Acaster described a coffin challenge where contestants were buried for 15 minutes. Hall shouted the safe word, "Haggis," to escape, while Acaster and Bella Ramsey remained underground, fearing they were trapped.
