- If all invitations are accepted, voting membership rises to 10,338 and total membership to 11,319. Yet the Academy remains 64% male and 75% white following the new class induction.
- Membership selection relies on professional sponsorship rather than application, with executive committees and the Board of Governors approving candidates before the 99th Academy Awards on March 14, 2027.
